Poised to be Rochester’s go-to spot for fashion, the location is a prime spot for shoppers with variety in mind. “I decided to open here because Park Ave is the city’s hot spot. There is so much new development here and I wanted to be a part of the movement,” said owner Tanvi Asher, an RIT alumni, who was attracted to the diversity in the area when seeking to open a new location.
Haute shoppers with hometown taste can also find Rochester artists & designers at Peppermint. Melissa Murphy who is an RIT student and budding visual merchandising designer gets all the credit for Peppermint’s striking window display. The window showcases a dress made entirely from magazine papers neatly cut and sewed into a ballerina style couture dress.
The boutique currently carries local artists like Amanda Preske, Casey Wright, Josean Vargas & Paul Taylor Glassworks to name a few. “I give our local artists a place to grow so I welcome those unique and unseen pieces at Peppermint,” said Asher.
