Calling All Kind-Hearted Arts & Crafts Enthusiasts!! On June 3 – 5, 2011, Camp Good Days will be hosting its annual Women’s Oncology Arts & Crafts Weekend. This event is a weekend camping experience focused on healing through art. The program is open to all women, ages 18+ who have dealt with cancer from recent diagnosis to remission. Activities may include jewelry making, scrap-booking, painting and more. We are in need of volunteers who would like to come down and teach any sort of arts & crafts activity. The Village of Deposit is celebrating its 200th Birthday and a weekend celebration is in the works for August 13th and 14th. Spaces are available for crafters, antique dealers and vendors on a first come first serve basis. Each space is 15×10 and the cost is $35 per day. There are still spaces available.
Many activities are planned for the weekend, a Victorian Tea, old time photography, local crafters/artists, bands, food, exhibits, historic hayrides through the Village, historic guided tours to our Revolutionary War Cemetery and the historic State Theater will be .featuring old time movies.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to dress in the attire of the 19th century. The Village will have blue laws enforced for the weekend and violators will be put in the stockade! A parade and fireworks are also on the agenda.
Firemans Field will be available for both days while Front Street is only available on Saturday. I would be more than happy to send you an application upon request..
