Hello crafty people! It’s currently grey and drizzling outside, awful winter weather, no? Think of spring! The upcoming Mayday! Underground is taking place Saturday, April 29 at the Village Gate. We’re currently looking your YOUR art for the show! Please apply by February 15 if you make awesome, indie art + craft.

Salena’s began in 1998 and has remained a local, family owned business since. In 2011, Salena’s was purchased by the current owners and long-time employees- a family which began through meeting while employed at Salena’s! Our focus remains to provide both exceptional freshly made recipes and outstanding service.

Staff is the basis of our longevity. They come in and give their all to make your experience the best we can offer. The kitchen staff spends all day preparing recipes fresh, and our service staff are constantly coming up with ways to improve on the experience guests have in the dining room. We couldn’t be where we are without their expertise and commitment. Most of the staff have been with Salena’s for many years and we consider them family.

Salena’s objective is to expand on the guests’ experiences by offering tequila classes, private party options, local beer pairing dinners, daily specials- all allowing our staff to show off what they do best! More information can be found on our website salenas.com.

Salena’s remains integrated into the Neighborhood of the Arts community and is constantly on the lookout for promotions that benefit the City of Rochester. We believe that our success is directly tied to the success of the surrounding area, and that it is important to keep our actions beneficial. We are currently working with East High students to open a student run restaurant next door to Salena’s: teaching entrepreneurial skills to a new generation so that they may positively impact the community after graduation! You can read more at ryceroc.com.

Rochester, are you ready?  Ready for the 14th (!!) Mayday?  We’ve reconfigured our space to bring you even MORE amazing handmade artists, over 80 in fact.  We’ve got loads of new artists, tons of new products from your returning favorites, extended hours, double the swag bags (50 each day) and even a TV commercial.  You do not want to miss this.  I mean it.  You will not find a bigger or better selection of indie arts and crafts anywhere else in Rochester.  Come start AND finish your holiday shopping!  November 5th & 6th from 10-6, in the Village Gate upstairs atrium.  This is going to be awesome.
